Clint Eastwood – GMC Typhoon

While many people might imagine the legendary director and actor Clint Eastwood behind the wheel of a classic muscle car, the reality is quite different and surprising. Eastwood drives a GMC Typhoon, a high-performance SUV that can outrun some sports cars. Released in 1992, the GMC Typhoon came equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 engine, and only 4,697 of these were ever produced.

Despite being an SUV, the Typhoon was incredibly fast for its time, clocking 0-60 mph in just 5.6 seconds and running a ¼ mile in 14.3 seconds. Though these numbers may not seem exceptional today, in the early 90s, this was a remarkable achievement, especially for a vehicle of its size. The GMC Typhoon also had a sibling model, the Syclone, which was a pickup truck.
